Flix is a young pug dog adopted by cat parents growing up in a town full of cats. He is outgoing and willing to try anything even if he has to pretend he likes sushi and enjoys watching laser pointers. Together with his 2 best cat friends and fellow misfits, Munchkin and Tabi, he’s ready to take on the world and is particularly fascinated by Dog Town over the river, but the truth is he is just as much puss as pug.

“Flix is about making the best out of your differences - we are all equal and we are all different. Everyone has something to offer. ‘Flix’ shows us that with a sense of humour you can overcome any dogstacle.”

~ Tomi Ungerer

Flix is based on an illustrated book by the famous author, illustrator and human rights activist, Tomi Ungerer. Flix was published in 1996, when Tomi was awarded the coveted Hans Christian Anderson prize for children’s literature.

Two of Tomi’s many children’s books, The Three Robbers (Les Trois Brigands/Die Drei Rauber) and Moonman (Jean de la Lune, Der Mondmann) have been made into feature files, but Flix is the first of his books to be adapted into a series. Tomi has sold 16 million books worldwide and translated into 40 languages and his books are taught on the school curriculum in France and Germany.
